What are the typical solution for the excessive inlet pressure loss?

If the inlet pressure loss is more than 3% then what are the recomended solutions?

For a relief valve, increase the inlet pipe diameter, or decrease the inlet line length. If possible, increase the set pressure, if set is below the system deign pressure. For existing systems, one of the relief cases, such as blocked flow may be eliminated by controlling the source, for example by using a shutdown valve. Or the relieving flow for one of the scenarios may be reduced, for example, with a restriction orifice.
