Regular Shutdown

Regular shutdown should take effect by completely shutting down the oil pumps on the platform and closing the coupling head at the tanker end of the riser.

Emergency Shutdown

  • Emergency shutdown should be fully synchronized from the alarm sounding to the complete disconnect of the riser.
  • The sounding of the alarm and the closing of the valve should be automatically synchronized.
  • The quick disconnect should take place at the specified offset limit, without damage to the riser system.
  • The emergency disconnect operation should be executed within a four-second interval.
