Should piping previously used for heavy fuel oil (HFO) NOT be used for diesel service and be replaced, if necessary?

It is NOT the generaal practice to replace piping previously in HFO service for diesel fuel. Piping previously in HFO service can be chemically cleaned and flushed all HFO and DO lines and tanks according to the industry or company procedures. There is a cost and schedule impact (savings) associated with that requirements.
