If Flame Arresters are designed, manufactured and certified to ISO 16852, would NFPA approval required?

The short answer is NO!

Flame Arresters are designed, manufactured and certified to ISO 16852 does NOT required NFPA approval.

However, if your project datasheet requires the Flame Arrester to comply with NFPS, then it is designed to ISO 16852.
