Prevent the choked flow condition that is caused by flashing and damaging the valve by alternating the valve's trim, design, size, materials to increase the outlet pressure of the given valve and make it greater than the vapor pressure of the flowing liquid.

In another word, select valve that has actual pressure drop across the valve to be lower than the process conditions of P1 and P2, then you will eliminate flashing or cavitation.
