What are the issues to the downstream system a Glycol (TEG) entrainment can cause?

Glycol entrainment can cause following downstream problems:

  • Pipeline corrosion
  • Contamination of downstream processes
  • Blockage in cryogenic plants due to TEG freezing
  • Reduced performance of downstream adsorption plant, e.g. molecular sieves or silica gel
