Ionization constant of normal (H2O) and heavy water (D2O)


Following table provides the ionization constant in molality terms for H2O and D2O at temperatures from 0 to 100°C at the saturated vapor pressure. The quantity tabulated is –log KW, where KW is defined by:

KW  =  m+  ×  m

Where, m+ and m are the molalities, in mol/kg of water, for H+ and OH, respectively.
