The role

To support TFS business operations in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMA) reporting to TFS Head EMA)

  • Responsible for the overall management and administration of all welding related activities on projects.
  • Review tender packages and advise Project Managers of welding specifications/requirements
  • Transmit required procedures and weld maps to Project Manager for customer submittal purposes-Develop, qualify and maintain, welding procedures
  • Resolve customer comments relative to welding issues
  • Practical knowledge of weld joint design, weld overlay and welding processes
  • Carry out site visits to ensure that welding is being conducted in line with the company procedures.
  • Monitor any subcontractors welding activities to ensure project requirements are fulfilled
  • Manage Company's Welder Qualification Register and ensures that welders are qualified and  
  • certificates are maintained
  • Formulate weld procedure specifications and weld procedure qualifications

About you

  • Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND in welding/fabrication engineering
  • Fully conversant with International welding specifications and practices
  • Fully conversant with using computer software, experience in Weld Spec would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of welding technology in the field of fabrication and pressure vessels is essential
  • Specific experience in Petrochemical/Pipeline/Fabrication shop environment would be an advantage
  • Understanding of welding related NDE methods.
  • CSWIP Level 3 would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
  • German Speaking would be a distinct advantage
