The Role:

To manage through to completion all aspects of tests allocated under the guidance and supervision of the head of department in support the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies.

  • Instruct, direct, motivate, supervise and monitor the performance of all members of the allocated team
  • Completion and supervision of test processes to ensure on time/on cost delivery of the test plan
  • Communication of test results to relevant departments including projects, engineering and production
  • Dealing with problems encountered throughout the testing process and provide root cause analysis and failure diagnosis where required
  • Assist with the review and design of test rigs, ensuring that they meet manufacturing and health and safety requirements
  • Management of rotation equipment condition monitoring and performance monitoring programmes with a view to developing and implementing procedures to optimize equipment availability and reliability
  • Ensure adherence to departmental operating processes, procedures, specifications, standards and quality requirements
  • Assist with the project management of improvement initiatives within the department (lean, 5s RFT etc.), recommending and implementing agreed improvements
  • Assist with the compilation of relevant risk assessments to ensure that safe methods of working and the hydraulic and mechanical integrity of machinery is maintained
  • Actively participating in order review/assembly review meetings, providing guidance and advice to projects where required
  • Comply with requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures.
  • Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials.
  • Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.

About you:
