Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

  • Work with the Project Engineer to define system related products, tasks, scope, and budget
  • Work with the Project Engineer to deliver system related products and tasks within the defined scope and budget.
  • Manage requirement sets for projects, geographic regions, jurisdictions, and/or local authories
  • Work with Project Engineer (PE) to develop the technical aspects of the Product Breakdown Structure, deliverables (drawings, documentation, analysis), and the tasks required to produce the products and the associated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Define and manage data schemas linking requirements to project products and phases
  • Present at design reviews the system design aspects of a project to include requirements, change management, boundaries and interfaces, compliance, test strategies, and test results
  • Identify project risks (technical, budget, and schedule) and elevate to the PE for tracking
  • Identify, document, and track project technical requirements (including customer, industry, and system performance specifications) and work with PE/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure compliance
  • Work with PE to lead feasibility and trade studies as necessary
  • Work with PE to develop technical content of Statement of Work (SOW) for major sub-contracted technical work
  • Work with PE/SMEs/SR&M (Safety, Reliability, & Maintainability) to develop Theory of Operations, Failure Analyses, and Verification/Validation documentation
  • Work with SMEs/SR&M to develop equipment data and spare parts, test strategy, test plans, and test procedures to satisfy requirements
  • Plan and support assembly, integration, and test activities as necessary and document resulting requirements verification and compliance
  • Complete requirements compliance documentation to support final delivery/commissioning/F24 process

ADDITIONAL

  • First technical point of contact for post-commissioning and in service management and support
  • Requirements and effectivity management of products in service
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist in sales efforts and expansion of customer base
  • Travel as required (up to 25%)

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Minimum BS in Engineering required
  • Experience in system engineering, product life cycle management, and executing engineering in a systematic way

DESIRED

  • Advanced degree
  • Professional License and/or Industry Organization Memberships
  • Experience in requirement management system software
  • Working knowledge with a Systems Engineering database tool (CRADLE, DOORS, etc)
  • Experience in techniques to integrate project data and workflows
  • Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, Ansys, or other industry standard mechanical design tools
  • Experience with industry standards such as ISO 13849, ASTM F24 and F2291, etc.
  • Experience with Ladder Logic PLCs, Safety PLCs, or other industrial automatic equipment experience
