The Controls and Automation division collaborates with teams inside the Intervention and Stimulation Equipment (ISE) group within the NOV Completions and Production Solutions segment to develop innovative solutions that advances product lines through enhanced controls and safety. You will work in a team environment to create these new systems.

Qualifications

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain embedded control system software
  • Develop your technical expertise in system integration, system integrity, hardware, I/O and communication
  • Plan, develop, and execute new product development engineering efforts
  • Participate in peer review of produced code
  • Bring resources and knowledge to bear on unique and diverse problems
  • Participate in cross function teams to support system integration
  • Define and implement metrics, collect and analyze customer/ testing feedback, and strengthen reporting and analytic capabilities
  • Provide ongoing support of engineering initiatives within the Controls and Automation division
  • Monitor software design and record testing results using hardware in loop systems
  • Review project requirements and ensure test designs are completed
  • Develop creative briefs and communicate strategic objectives to internal team members to ensure projects are completed in alignment with strategy
  • Support and participate in segment wide initiatives
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform additional duties as needed

What you’ll bring

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge in machine control, industrial I/O, complex circuit design
  • Familiarity in programming and software processes
  • Is action oriented and full of energy while seeking challenges
  • Is comfortable in dynamic and fluid environment
  • Documentation skills, with the ability to recommend and articulate process improvements and required changes
  • Ability to create new processes and demonstrate sound judgment
  • Clear written/oral communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and effectively resolve conflict by identifying opportunities
  • Values strong team collaborations
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability
  • Knowledge in CAD (Solid works and AutoCAD)
  • Oil & Gas industry experience preferred
  • Some travel may be required greater than 5% annually dependent upon project requirements
  • Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 is a plus
