Your responsibilities

  • Designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and customer special request.
  • Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
  • Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials and soliciting observations from customers/operators.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing components.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities and confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes.
  • Supporting Supply Change Management with mechanical engineering information for parts sourcing and parts obsolesce.
  • Support product related mechanical and associated information for agency approval.
  • Maintains system and product data, drawings and Bills of Material.
  • Completes projects by training and guiding operators and technicians.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 10 years of experience working in the mechanical engineering field.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
  • Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCad Inventor)
