• This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgement. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field of chemical and petrochemical technology.
  • The purpose of this position is to provide technical responsibility for proposal development and production with focus on supporting business with the winning of work.
  • This position typically has direct reporting relationships with Office General Manager/Business Development Lead.

• *Participate in joint team effort to develop drawings and specifications for study, feasibility, Front End Engineering Development ( FEED)/Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction (EPFC) phases of potential projects in Russia based on experience in chemical and petrochemical industry.

• *Verify compliance of Fluor scope of work with contract requirements.

• *Interface with client representatives: project, process and instrument engineers, operations and maintenance to align contract requirements and expectations.

• *Interface with Fluor discipline engineers in the Region to provide support with all applicable Russian laws, Russian standards and procedures.

• *Provide support to Fluor project team members to enhance Fluor’s understanding of the client technology and business.

• *Train team members in Russia specific technology skills.

• *Support studies conducted by other Fluor offices as required and /or needed to provide cost effective facilities.

• *Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with Russian specific project execution strategy.

• *Maintain industry (chemical and petrochemical) technology knowledge and transfer knowledge to Client.

• *Arrangement and participation in meetings with the Client, follow up with Russian Clients on status of Fluor Proposals.

• *Technical Support to local and other Fluor offices when preparing technical proposals to Russian Clients.

• *Apply technical knowledge (chemical and petrochemical ) for negotiations with Russian Clients.

• *Apply technical knowledge for evaluation of the scope of work and possible execution of the scope by Fluor organization for Russian Clients.

• *Organize and prioritize a variety of projects an multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet expectations.

• *Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from local management staff.

• *Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.

• *Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

• *May need to travel to attend business related matters.

• *Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.

• *Meets expectations on attendance and punctuality.

• *Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four-five (4-5) year degree, preferably Masters in chemical and petrochemical field and app. seven – ten (7- 10) years of work-related experience, preferably as process engineer or project manager for chemical and petrochemical projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in English, with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job. Process engineering and project engineering is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of specific technical (chemical and petrochemical) terminology
  • Ideal candidate would reside in Moscow, Russia.
