Overview / Responsibilities

  • Wood is currently seeking Senior Engineers from a vartiy of disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrial, Instrumentation, Technical Safety, Structural, Controls, Piping, and Process.

Responsibilities:

  • Working within a multi-discipline team of professional engineers and technologists
  • Preparing detailed cost, time and resource estimates based on client supplied work scopes
  • Ensure design, analysis and specifications are in accordance with applicable codes, governing statutory regulations, Wood procedures, offshore installation specific design philosophies and meet project objectives and industry best practice
  • Adhering to all health, safety, security, environment and assurance requirements in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
  • Originating and checking of engineering documentation specific to the discipline including but not limited to specifications, data sheets, SDRLs, general arrangement, detailed drawings, engineering calculations and reports
  • Preparing technical documentation and providing technical analysis to support procurement of equipment
  • Supporting equipment design, installation, start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Adhering to project schedules and approved budgets
  • Travelling to vendor facilities, fabrication sites and offshore, as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree and Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of design regulations for the offshore Newfoundland and Labrador environment is considered an asset
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
