PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform schematic design (Altium preferred), select topologies and components best suited for the application
  • Work often involves analog/digital hardware and embedded firmware.
  • Position requires knowledge of and exposure to hardware design (boards, harnesses, enclosures, connectors).
  • Contribute to the development of automated test tools such as Labview applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make modification to software and firmware (C\C++) using MicroChip PIC18, PIC24,dsPIC
  • Work with laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters‚Ķ
  • Determine root cause and fault analysis of field failures.
  • Ensure subsequent design changes are documented and implemented
  • Must be able to work as an integral part of a team
  • Some travel to test facilities or suppliers may be required
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or MS in Electrical engineering
  • 10 years of experience as Electrical Engineer
  • Experience with high temperature electronics or downhole tools
  • Drive for Results

  • Peer Relationships
  • Working knowledge of Analog electronics, Altium CAD preferred
  • Working knowledge of Labview
  • Working knowledge of C\C++ programming language preferred
