• Acts as Lead Engineer for projects with Emergency Shutdown System, Fire & Gas system, Fire alarm system, Safety Instrumented System
  • Understand the safety automation requirement of a project and supervise local and remote team to meet customer requirement
  • Engages with End User and EPC’s from the conceptual or FEED stage of a project onwards
  • Defines the requirements of the ESD/FGS/SIS package and its interfaces to achieve operational effectiveness goals of the end user and project execution goals of the EPC


  • Lead Engineering (ESD/FGS/SIS)
  • Represents Honeywell in end user and EPC environments as a technical leader/authority in safety automation discipline
  • Support FEED efforts with EPC and end user in scope definition, schedule and cost estimates, system definition and interface requirement
  • Production of FEED deliverables for major projects including ESD/FGS/SIS Basis of Design documents, interface specifications and architecture block diagrams through close collaboration across all engineering disciplines.
  • Contributes to Owner/EPC documents such as Basis of Design and Philosophy documents for Safety Instrumentation (C&E’s, Functional Logic Diagram, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Data Sheets, Hookup Drawings, P&IDs, narratives etc)
  • Supports Owner/EPC engineering activities such as HAZOPS, CHAZOPS, Risk Analyses, Cost Estimates, Scheduling, Power/Heat/Weight calcs etc.
  • Identifies opportunities forvalue adding applications or products to assist operational or business readiness goals and engages specialists as appropriate
  • Development, maintenance and adherence to project engineering standards and procedures
  • Responsible for engineering consistency across different contracts
  • Manage activities, quality and productivity of assigned engineers
  • Translation of project BoD, Philosophy and Specification documents into the definition of system and implementation requirements
  • Review and control of design and implementation deliverables against project requirements and lead the technical review session with customers and engineering team
  • Technical risk identification, assessment and control
  • Define and drive interface requirement with 3rd party system and integration plan with Honeywell system



  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline (essential)
  • Professional certification like TUV FS certification, CFSE, professional engineer certification are desirable


  • Minimum 8 year experience in Oil and Gas (onshore and offshore) industry and proven track record in handling industrial automation projects engineering as technical lead
  • Experience with prevalent safety system like Honeywell Safety Manager, Triconex and etc


  • Working knowledge of multi-disciplined EPC environments
  • Detailed knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry standards and best practices
  • Experience with engineering lifecycle challenges and the ability to bring lessons learned to the design process to aid constructability, operability and maintainability
  • Experience in specifying and high level design of ESD/FGS/SIS systems and related packages (instrumentation, F&G)
  • Able to produce typical SIS FEED and Design deliverables such as BoD and Design Philosophy documents and DCS/SIS specifications
  • Detailed knowledge of the architectures of ESD/FGS/ SIS.
  • Detailed knowledge of the project lifecycle for ESD/FGS/SIS(key deliverables, dependencies, interfaces, methodolgies).
  • Working knowledge of IEC61508/61511 (FSEng desirable)
