Job Responsibilities

  • This position is located in Houston, TX. and is a hands on position requiring extensive travel to and interaction with the H2E facilities. This position will have 24/7 responsibility for Service Alarm Management.
  • Maintain safety, reliability and regulatory compliance as the highest priority and play an active role in the execution of the annual HSE Plan.
  • Develop Maintenance and Operating Procedures.
  • Develop and optimize Maintenance Plans and PM schedules for new and existing equipment and load into the CMMS.
  • Add spare parts into the national warehouse and CMMS as needs dictate and ensure all vendors are current in the Avetta system.
  • Update the H2E Operations Monthly Scorecard used to track KPI’s as necessary.
  • Lead and/or participate in global operations KPI reviews, operations monthly meetings and presentations to management.
  • Analyse downtime and maintenance costs and develop reliability & cost improvement plans.
  • Actively participate in the Management of Change process to maintain/update equipment configurations as needed.
  • Perform periodic audits of installations to ensure compliance with AL standards and continuous improvement.
  • Provide feedback on new and existing products to the Product Development Team.
  • Provide guidance to project managers and design authorities for hydrogen ancillary support equipment and installations.
  • Provide technical support to design authorities, project specialists and field service technicians during planning, installation and start up.
  • Participate in Commissioning and Start-Up activities as available and lead Commissioning and Start-Up activities as business needs dictate.
  • Scheduled on-call availability for Service & Alarm Management support.
  • Develop training plans and training materials for technicians supporting the H2E installations.
  • Perform root cause analysis investigations and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Implement Reliability focused projects.
  • Lead and Implement other projects as business needs dictate.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in an Engineering Field
  • 1-2 years experience in the Industrial Gas Business or working with high pressure gas equipment
  • Ability to analyze data and develop solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work.
  • Investigates technical problems, evaluates alternatives and identifies the optimum solution.
  • I&E (instrumentation) troubleshooting experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ISA symbology, as required for P&IDs and electrical one line diagrams.
  • Process Controls troubleshooting experience a plus.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience, HVAC, hydraulic systems, and/or H2 experience a plus.
  • Innovative and adaptable attitude toward developing cost savings solutions.
  • Ability to function in a highly decentralized team environment.
  • Understands and complies with current codes, regulations, industry standards and corporate policy.
  • Provides technical support to meet or exceed reasonable customer expectations.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with eMaint H2E’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) a plus.
  • Basic working knowledge of FDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA and other government regulations.
  • Experience with high pressure hydrogen including compressors and liquid cryogenic pumps a plus.
  • Fluent in English

Physical requirements

  • Walking or standing to a significant degree.
  • Exerting or lifting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Able to work around process equipment, including traversing ladders and stairs.
  • Able to wear Personal Protection Equipment.
