Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the regional level engineering design and delivery, from Sales bid stage through to project close out
  • Drive planning, coordination, resource assignment and execution of the Projects Engineering within each location and provide the governance via project reviews
  • Close engagement with Sales to ensure robust bid reviews, approval of estimates and labour profiles, to achieve best valued engineered solutions while reducing technical and delivery risk
  • Perform / assist Technical Risk Reviews / Engineering Reviews / Proposal Reviews in compliance with policy
  • Drive Project performance to achieve on-time delivery, zero or positive deviation and proactive technical risk prevention/mitigation
  • Work closely with location projects leaders for planning / forecasting and revenue realizations
  • Be a change agent - influence, consult, advocate, and lead efforts for sharing and standardizing of best practices and processes
  • Optimizing delivery of projects and engineering to achieve continuous improvement and overall effectiveness to attain lower cost to serve and productivity targets
  • Ability to think strategically in identifying future trends and applying process improvement tools to solve business problems
  • Change Management skills to accept and lead change within the workforce by pro-actively and creatively taking action to achieve goals

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Engineering Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/MBA - Advanced Business Degree and/or minimum 10 years engineering experience in nominated disciplines
  • Well-developed project management skills
  • Background in Controls, Automation, Electronic Security, Smart Buildings, Digital Engineering, and Integration is essential
  • Proven track record of delivery and success in the areas of problem solving and process change/ improvement
  • Ability to work effectively across a large geographic spread in a functional engineering group environment
  • 20% travel required (predominately within region)
