Job purpose

  • Our SQE’s focus primarily on the qualification, monitoring and management of supplier performance to ensure conformance to requirements and delivery of the products or services they provide.
  • Development of our supply base in process enhancements including lean and six sigma principles and onsite support of all our manufacturing sites in which supplier products or services are required.

Main Tasks

  • Manage each assigned supplier's safety, quality and delivery performance through metrics and KPIs.
  • Identify trends and performance gaps and ensures actions are timely and accurate and provide feedback to the organization.
  • Drive Root cause analysis and Corrective action from Suppliers.
  • Develop suppliers through a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Use quality systems data to develop and implement processes and manage the supply base and departments in achieving quality goals.
  • A high degree of personal interaction is needed to challenge and effectively improve current practices at suppliers and internally.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of product requirements and communicate quality requirements and initiatives.
  • Support and conduct supplier qualification activities.
  • Support and train suppliers on all TechnipFMC processes.
  • Collaborate globally on the performance of suppliers.
  • Support on APQP( Advanced Product Quality Planning) and Lean / six sigma activities.

Qualifications

  • BS. or MS. in engineering/technical or equivalent recognition in a technical or quality field.
  • TechnipFMC Product Knowledge-/ Subsea Knowledge is advantage.

Experience/Skills

  • 6Sigma Greenbelt or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate improvements projects.
  • Able to demonstrate a wide range of quality tools including RCA, Risk, MSA, lean etc.
  • Possess good PC skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, statistical analysis software, and presentation software.
  • Must have good people skills, presentation skills and ability to train.
  • Knowledge of design processes.
  • Possess the ability to manage the Control of Non Conformances to include obtaining dispositions and verifying proper execution through resolution.
  • Understand the concepts and application of problem solving methodologies such as 6 Sigma and 8D and the concepts of Lean (5S is a lean tool).
  • Understand the interactions between industry/regulatory standards, customer requirements.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as; forging, fabrication, machining, coating and welding and related testing is an advantage.
  • Understand audit processes and best practices; both as an auditor and auditee (removed specific ISO and we cover many and PVs).
  • Familiar with SAP.
