Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform project specific quality management and assurance activities as detailed in the Project Quality Plan and Project
  • Inspection and Test Plan as directed and instructed by the Project Quality Manager / Lead
  • Can support the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the site remains compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Knowledge and experience of working to GxP regulations.
  • Take ownership of and complete successfully Quality Development Plans in a timely manner
  • Promotes a positive Quality Culture through the working environment
  • Pro-actively supports the Quality Manager/Lead to achieve project and Organisational quality deliverables
  • Assist project process owners in Quality Management – data collating/analysis/trending reporting (as necessary)
  • Participates in the internal audits and surveillance schedules, preparing, reporting and closing out audit reports and actions resulting from the audit
  • Where required co-ordinate QC inspections as per requirements of Project Inspection and Test Plan.
  • Have experience of 3rd party management.
  • Provide input and support the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance
  • Assists in external audit activities
  • Follows up with actions resulting from external audits with a view to fast tracking effective closure of non-conformance
  • Drive close-out of non-conformances listed on action tracker, identify trends or overdue actions and report updates to the
  • Quality Manager/Lead when requested
  • Participates in root cause investigation of customer non-conformance
  • Assist in the management of quality risks in accordance with the risk process
  • Suggests and negotiates with the Quality Manager/Lead improvements to invert negative trends impacting the project
  • Participates in project meetings as necessary to support Project delivery
  • Maintain Quality Information on company’s Share point Portal as required
  • Perform/contribute to the project inspection regime
  • Liaises with project team members to facilitate fast track closure of product / service non-conformance
  • Facilitate project process owners in establishing their delivery processes and procedures
  • To report promptly to the Quality Manager/Lead all matters related to Project Quality Management System performance
  • Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified, controlled, reviewed and retained in accordance with project, client and regulatory requirements
  • To participate (as necessary) in activities relating to Project QMS Improvement Initiatives
  • Undertake, as necessary, awareness training in the project Quality Management System, procedures and applications
  • Prepare and present QMS power point presentations upon request, e.g. Project Quality Induction.
  • Provide QMS performance data as requested by the Quality Manager/Lead for reporting purposes
  • Support / promote quality initiatives implemented to achieve project deliverables
  • Be able to support/produce Project quality monthly report
  • Have knowledge and experience in driving/leading Project Lessons Learnt Process.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Technically qualified/time served trades person
  • Trade registrations/vocational qualifications
  • Inspection coordination experience
  • Engineering and/or inspection background
  • Has a broad knowledge of construction, fabrication and inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001:2015
  • Hold a current auditor qualification
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
  • Experience in using a range of measuring and inspection equipment and be able to interpret engineering drawings and standards
  • Significant, demonstrable experience within a relevant construction management environment
  • Working within a Pharmaceutical environment would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Display both good judgment and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to be assertive and drive culture change when required.
  • Ability to advise system and subsystem priorities within construction activities with a view to achieving early handover.
  • Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan.
