Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent preferably with 3 years of experience5+ years related experience is a plus
  • Experience in reading and interpreting 3 rd party agency procedures and policies is beneficial
  • Experience in reading and interpreting National Standards and Codes (ASME, ISO, etc.) is beneficial
  • Product knowledge for plug, ball and butterfly valves and automation is beneficial
  • Experience in utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of product/process flow
  • Experienced in current quality practices
  • Consequences of product non-conformance
  • Foundry, machining, assembly and painting process experience a plus

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Contributes to the quality culture within the organization and within the manufacturing process
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
  • Maintains consistent application of decision criteria and requirements
  • Leads and manages all aspects of CVO’s compliance certification efforts
  • Lead auditor for Cookeville’s ISO 9001 internal audits
  • Helps maintain Cookeville’s Quality Procedures
  • Develop quality quote reviews, quality plans and material code sheets for incoming orders and projects
  • Manage customer witness inspections as needed
  • Participates in the NCR process through IntelleQuest
