Your responsibilities

  • Leading & delivering advanced application engineering for an electrical power management system as per customer functional specifications.
  • Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information and that multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development by understanding electrical control drawings and loops.
  • Creating proposals and engineering solutions for electrical automation projects or programs through coordination of proposal drawings, bills of materials and estimated engineering hours. Performing engineering risk analysis before submitting proposal.
  • Supporting contract managers in issuing claims to provide quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivers within budget and contract. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
  • Defining project tasks and ensuring allocation of these tasks to project team members, specifying relevant schedule, cost and quality metrics.
  • Coordinating the creation of work plans and cost estimates for work in all applicable engineering disciplines. Managing the project engineering team to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and at the targeted cost.
  • Ensuring completion of power management system related risk assessments and opportunity assessments and supports the Project Manager in the overall project risk and opportunity assessment and implementation of resulting actions for own project responsibilities.
  • Using standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.

Your background

  • B.E/ or post-graduation in MCA from reputed institutes.
  • Required minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in leading engineering and commissioning of power management system projects covering the functionalities of primary equipment monitoring and control, load shedding,load sharing, synchronization etc.
  • Required experience on industrial standards for distributed electrical integration, power management and substation automation applications, including applicable communication protocols.
  • Working Knowledge on utility communication protocols like IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC, 101,104, TCP/IP, Prefab’s, Profinet, Fieldbus, SPA.
  • Hands-on experience in application engineering tool and graphic engineering with any of the DCS.
