Worley is in search of an Project HSE Manager.  This position will be responsible for the delivery of health, safety, and environmental processes and policies on a large client project. The individual serving in this capacity will act as the site’s interface with Engineers, Project Managers and other employees and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily HSE walk-throughs
  • Implementation of HSE campaigns for the project (e.g. hand and finger safety)
  • Ensures the HSE programs and practices are consistent and in compliance with local, state and federal requirements
  • Proactively develops and deploys HSE programs to reduce work-related injuries and illnesses, and ensure environmental compliance
  • Acts as the champion to insure proper investigation and follow-up is taken on safety concerns, near misses and incidents
  • Addresses all internal and external customer inquiries and reporting requirements regarding health, safety, environmental and security matters.
  • Builds relationships and maintains on-going communications with the site leadership team and manufacturing personnel to develop and maintain a collaborative work environment.
  • Manages organizational aspects of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Security function to develop staff with expertise and knowledge. Sets performance and development goals for/with department staff. In addition, the position is responsible for coordinating the activities of a small number of contractors and environmental consultants.
  • Responsible for maintaining and training on the site’s Emergency Response Plan, managing the staffing, training and operation of the Emergency Response Team, maintaining the firewater distribution system, fixed and mobile fire protection equipment and emergency response vehicles through the site, planning for and conducting emergency related drills and exercises, maintaining and operating the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and emergency accountability systems.

What you will bring

Required Technical and Industry Experience:

  • B.S. degree in engineering, relevant sciences or specific HSE discipline
  • Must have current authorization to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant HSE experience
  • Prior experience in environmental, safety and supervision preferred in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory processes applicable to plant operations and experience representing a company with regulatory agencies
  • Candidate must have strong leadership skills including effective communications, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all departments and levels of the organization.
  • 15 years of HSE Feed and Construction Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Safety or Environmental or related field
