Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Engineering plant support and optimization of production processes
  • Responsible for the technical reliability of the plant
  • Design of equipment modifications
  • Elevate and appropriately apply knowledge of the plant and technology referencing historical data and conferring with Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Ensure Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance
  • Partner with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline
  • Identification of potential for improvement and implementation in small projects
  • Diagnose and document root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility, perform and cooperate of audits
  • Solving specific operational problems of the plant and developing complex action plans
  • Cooperation in the implementation of an effective EH&S program
  • Network with other engineers locally and within the global business/organization
  • Maintain, own, and review daily Key Process Indicators (KPI)/ trends to ensure optimum performance.
  • Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies.
  • Act as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Management of the necessary activities for the production process, quality control, assurances and coordination regarding customer satisfaction and continuous improvement activities

Experience

  • A University or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or another scientific-technical discipline, preferably process engineering
  • Several years of experience in production, project work, process control, and process engineering
  • Ability to work independently; team player, initiative, eager to learn, innovative
  • Experience in working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience in plant start-up
  • Experience with quality control
  • Good communication skills, problem-solving skills, stress-resistant
  • Good computer skills
  • On-call service
  • Willingness to travel on business
  • Fluent in German and English is required
