  • Contribute in the development, analysis, testing, and implementation of structural designs of industrial sensors - Including the designing and documenting of products at the detail, assembly, and system levels using typical CAD and document management tools and processes.
  • Work closely with designers as well as mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
  • Work with project managers to accurately estimate individual work efforts, support overall project planning, create defining technical product documentation, manage risk of the project.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal customers - Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality .
  • Document and communicate progress, learnings, and roadblocks to engineering management and internal customers.
  • Participate in product commercialization efforts including supplier selection, test development and process support, prototype assembly, and first article inspection.
  • Provide expertise in diagnosing issues with measurement devices or systems that have been deployed in the field.
  • Field Testing of new products on Oilfield Rigs, Offshore platforms, and Drill ships.



  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to model dynamic system responses using classical or numerical methods is desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of Creo (Pro-E) or Solidworks.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and draft drawings in accordance with ASME Y14 Standards.
  • Familiarity with GD&T is desirable.
  • Skilled using commercial FEA for structural analysis and modeling (Creo Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation, or Ansys Mechanical) as well as hand calculations for model verification.
  • Experience deriving load paths and freebody force diagrams for mechanical components and systems.
  • Experience with mechanical dynamic systems modeling is a plus.
  • Experience with design for Hazardous Locations (HAZLOC) is a plus.
  • Experience with system-level environmental and reliability testing is a plus.
  • Experience with design For Assembly and Design For Manufacture are highly desired.
  • Flow/Thermal Analysis experience with Solidworks Flow Simulation or similar is beneficial.
  • Experience in design for manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, castings, welding and assembly.
