Specific accountabilities
.    Organise and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of HVAC & Utilities discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.
.    Establish a list of discipline deliverables. Control, monitor and progress these deliverables to an agreed schedule.
.    Organise and manage the resource requirements for the HVAC discipline.
.    Preparation and checking of engineering and design deliverables
.    Direct the work of both detail and design drafters and ensure the drawings are in accordance with the client’s requirements and the relevant project specifications 
.    Have the experience to participate in design review with various clients and to advise on technical design and drafting issues and compliance requirements as appropriate 
.    Be able to demonstrate a proven track record of completing a given work scope within time and budget constraints. 
.    Monitors all engineering, design, 3D CAD and CAD drafting activities to assure conformance with Client and/or Company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice.
.    Must have enough knowledge in HVAC systems’ analysis, MTOs control, material requisitions, bid evaluation and 3D design model reviews to be able to manage a team of specialists.
.    Responsible for issue of all HVAC deliverable documents. Organize inputs and supervise for preparation general layout, equipment layout, key plans, support design, isometrics, material take offs, materials specifications and material requisitions.
.    Perform basic and complex HVAC calculations including thermal loads, sizing of pipework and ductwork, air diffusion analyses and valve sizing. The calculations will be simplified or computational. 
.    Perform computational efficiency analysis using approved software tools for national and international projects (LIDER/CALENER/HULC, IES VE, HAP simulations, etc)
.    Coordinate with electrical and BMS teams defining electrical and control requirements including definition of control loops.
.    Must have deep knowledge of all-air, air-water, all-water systems. Including the different elements that compound them as air and water condensed chillers, cooling towers, pumps, etc.
.    Knowledge of the reference suppliers for HVAC equipment and their catalogues.
.    Knowledge of national and international Standards
.    Being able to assist in utilities systems’ design including plumbing, drainage and fire fighting systems will be a plus
.    Appraisal, training and development of personnel.
.    Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
.    Safety – Responsible for personal safety and working within the OHS&W procedures.

.    Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with proven leadership experience in HVAC design for different markets.
.    Minimum of 12 years HVAC engineering experience in power, oil and gas or petrochemical industry. Experience in logistic facilities would be a plus too.
.    Has a good background in design of HVAC systems for large spaces and in diverse climate conditions.
.    Has already been responsible for large teams
.    Has high knowledge of the most relevant codes used in HVAC systems’ design.
.    Multi-office project execution experience
.    Solid knowledge of relevant IT systems. (HAP, HULC, IES VE)
.    Experience and affinity with Project controls; Scheduling and progressing
.    Should have experience in lead role for FEED and Detail Engineering projects with exposure to field engineering activities.
.    Ability to report in English, both verbal & in writing. High English level is a must.  
.    Knowledge of International codes.
.    Knowledge of BREEAM and/or LEEDs certification would be a plus
.    Flexible for business travelling
