Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design of process plants and equipment, including establishing mechanical design basis, specifying equipment requirements, and optimization of selected designs
  • Mechanical design of process equipment (pressure vessels, shell & tube heat exchangers, columns)
  • Direct the preparation of required documentation for assigned projects.
  • Ensure successful completion of the assigned project deliverables within the budgeted time and costs
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and equipment vendors

What you will bring

  • Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • 5 to 10 years of applicable engineering experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Thoroughly familiar with ASME pressure vessel code
  • Manufacturing experience would be an asset.
  • Member (or eligible to be a member) of Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. (EGBC)
  • Good communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work under tight timelines which require strong organization and time management skills
  • Candidates must be able to travel without any visa or border restrictions
  • Computer literate and will have experience using pressure vessel design software (PV Elite preferred)
