What will be your responsibilities?

  • Soils and Groundwater Investigations and Interpretation
  • Consulting, Recommendation and Design support for Sites and Projects on:
  • Deep and Shallow Foundation Systems
  • Traditional and Environmental Piling (driven, helical, sheet, micro)
  • Soil Improvement
  • Slope Stability
  • Earthen Containment
  • Groundwater Management and Dewatering Designs
  • Drainage systems
  • Containment
  • Emphasis on soil and groundwater remediation or remediation involved projects
  • Interface of Regulatory, Technology, and Innovation Emphasis on soil and groundwater remediation projects
  • Providing advice in relation Dutch\European Regulation (PGS29)
  • Development of engineering scope, design parameters, and associated technology
  • Engagement with external consultants to scope deliverables, develop performance criteria, review designs, and ensure designs and recommendations are not overly conservative
  • Construction support including excavation safety, groundwater management, crane matting, and subsurface utility interface
  • Support development of best practices for global and regional geotechnical design at the interface of Dow Engineering and Remediation

What we are looking for - required qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with significant Geoenvironmental experience is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience including engineering soils investigation, design, infrastructure, drainage and construction field inspection
  • A master’s in civil/Geotechnical is preferred with experience in soil and groundwater remediation and associated regulatory standards
  • Professional Engineering License and/or certification is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English is required
