Responsibilities & Requirements:


  • Improve manufacturing capabilities and cycle times Interact with customers and suppliers on quality issues and resolve any problems through final product acceptance
  • Disposition non-conforming parts through product design and functionality review Implement corrective actions by determining root causes and develop action plans through DMAIC process
  • Review upper level drawings and provide guidance on shop floor questions
  • Solve problems on the shop floor through use of routers and verbal communication with shop employees on set ups, tooling, procedures and developing rework routings
  • Interact with the functional areas including quality, purchasing, sales, planning and production
  • Utilize CIP tools to evaluate potential areas of process improvement and standardization across all manufacturing areas
  • Develop machine shop and assembly procedures for safe and efficient manufacturability
  • Support safety performance by providing engineering design and support as needed
  • Additional related duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience with various hand tools and precision measurement
  • Exposure with Machining and GD&T methodologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-Motivator with a "Get it Done" perspective
  • Computer skills include familiarity with Windows Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Oracle ERP system knowledge
  • Solidworks and ESPRIT CAM experience
  • Knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment
  • Experience in LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Previous machining or CNC Programming experience
