The Quality Assurance Engineer will interact with all functional areas including manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and sales to develop and maintain systems to monitor critical processes and support efforts to continually improve product deliverables and process outcomes. In addition, the Quality Assurance Engineer will have a hands-on role in discovering and guiding the correction of actual or potential nonconforming process outputs, including customer escapes and complaints. Working under the direction of the site Quality Manager within the engineering group, the Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining product and process inspection point programs
  • Developing and maintaining audit programs and conducting internal and supplier audits
  • Coordinating instrument calibration program
  • Overseeing and developing facility-wide nonconformity reporting system
  • Overseeing the development and expansion of written instructions for critical tasks
  • Assisting with training and competency program including impromptu training events
  • Supporting special projects including research and development
  • Leading root cause analysis and reporting findings to the Quality Manager and other functional areas
  • Determining appropriate methods for process and product oversight including sampling techniques and measuring system specifications
  • Performing dimensional and qualitative inspections and tests of product as needed
  • And additional related duties deemed appropriate by manager.

Position Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant discipline (Engineering, Quality Systems) or experience in a manufacturing environment learning relevant skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to use Windows operating system and experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Solid organizational skill
  • Willingness to spearhead development or optimization of quality management systems in line with industry best practices
  • Ability to implement and oversee process and product data collection schemes and analysis

Preferences:

  • Ability to communicate in Polish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Access, including VBA and advanced tools
  • Knowledge of quality and lean tools and methodologies (including statistical methods)
  • Understanding and using risk-based thinking
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience using Minitab
  • Experience reading and understanding engineer in drawings and written specifications
  • Experience using common dimensional tool including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators
  • Experience using CMM equipment
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases and general knowledge of factory operations (Warehousing, manufacturing, assembly,etc)
  • General knowledge of metal and plastic processing and manufacturing methods
