Wärtsilä Voyayage Pacific is looking for a Customer Support Engineer whose reponsibilities include:

  • Adhere to service requests on date & time, location, scope of work and any other instructions
  • Troubleshoot and inspect findings to determine source of problem, rectify or replace with Customers’ agreement
  • Work closely with Technical Experts (T2) in rectifying and / or configuring the Customer’s installed equipment
  • Escalate any issue beyond the service scope to the responsible CS team / management
  • Ensure the Customer is briefed on worked performed and the Service Report is prepared and signed off by Customer, and returned to the relevant T1 coordinator, fully completed and on time
  • Ensure service work rendered complies with internal Service & Support processes
  • Ensure compliance to Code of Business Conduct and Quality Management system requirements
  • Support projects or other technical jobs required

The Customer Support Engineer should have good written and verbal communcation skills with drive and enthusiasm, one who is self-motivated and able to work independently. He/she is a results-oriented invidual who has good problem solving skills and is a customer focus person. The ideal candidate should also have:

  • a Degree / Diploma in Engineering / Computer Technology / Electronical/Electronics Engineering
  • Technician or equivalent experiences in Marine Electronics
  • Experience in maintaining Bridge Navigational equipment
  • OEM Technical training certificates (preferred)
  • Knowledge in ERP system (preferred)
  • Experience in Transas ECDIS Systems is an added advantage
